18 Apr Ladys Island traffic

Starting with the new Ladys Island Walmart and now the Harris Teeter,  a number of Ladys Island residents are concerned about the loss of trees and automobile congestion.  I share their concerned.  The following, which was my off-the-cuff response to an e-mail, outlines the facts as I see them.  Note they are not a council or city position but rather some thoughts I shared. I am convinced that Beaufort County and the City can come up with some solutions though it will take time.   "The 30+ year old long term proposal to...

For those who are simply coming through Beaufort on their way to the islands, I  recommend using Highway 21 (aka...

When they held  the Environmental Impact public hearings and collected written comments, I said that I supported the F35-B coming to Beaufort and MCAS Beaufort becoming a training base.  I also said that an outlying field would be necessary. I stand by that.  We have work to do. Please note, this...
