Energy Savings by the City

04 Apr Energy Savings by the City

Concluding an extended study, the City has determined that by investing in better equipment,  that more than pays for itself in savings financially, we can reduce our energy costs by more than 30%.

It will not happen overnight but incremental changes to computers that adjust temperature when buildings are empty at night and over the weekends, replacing lighting with LED, changing the cooling tower at the city complex, installing solar in some places, replacing lighting in the Water Front Park will — among other adjustments throughout all city properties — save taxpayer dollars.

This is a good thing. And doing the right environmental thing!
