Historic Beth Israel Congregation sets schedule for High Holiday Services

Visitors and guests are welcome to join the members of Beth Israel Congregation of Beaufort to celebrate the High Holidays. Cantorial Soloist BenZion Bronshtein will lead the services for Rosh Hashanah beginning Sunday evening, October 2nd at 6:30 pm; an oneg will follow in the social hall. Services will continue on Monday, October 3rd at 10 am.

A special musical Selichot Service to introduce the High Holidays will be held at the synagogue on Saturday, Oct. 1st, at 5 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at noon at Beth Israel Cemetery on Bladen Street on Sunday, Oct. 2nd at 10 am.

Additionally, Cantorial Soloist Bronschstein will lead services for Yom Kippur. Kol Nidre services will begin promptly at 6 pm Tuesday, Oct. 11th. Services will continue from 10 am until approximately 1 pm the following day. Ma’ariv/Ne’ilah services will resume at 5 pm, and will conclude with a Break Fast at approximately 7 pm in the social hall. Erev Sukkot services will be held at 6 pm on Oct. 16th, and Shabbat Sukkot service, which includes a brief Simchat Torah service and Yizkor, will be held at 10 am on Saturday, Oct. 22nd. Shabbat Bereishit will be observed at 10 am on Saturday, Oct. 29th.

Although the Congregation does not sell tickets to High Holiday services, donations to the historic Synagogue are welcome.
