Kudos to Depot Road Area Residents for Tree Planting

14 Mar Kudos to Depot Road Area Residents for Tree Planting

I just want to reach out to THANK the families who invested the time, money and energy to replace trees that needed to be replaced along Depot Road.

Another planing Opportunity for Volunteers  Planting Day is Coming Soon… Monday, March 27th starting at 9:00 a.m. till…

Friends of the Duke Street Pocket Park/Landscaping/Painting/Mural Project at the Duke/Church Street Beaufort Housing Authority/Police Sub-station site: Monday, March 27th, starting at 9:00 a.m….we will be implementing the landscaping designed by Master Gardeners in the beds in front of the 3 duplexes. This will involve carrying and laying out the plants, digging and planting, installing the drip irrigation tubes, and refreshing the mulch in the beds.

The Master Gardeners volunteers will be on hand, but we will need as many people as possible to help with this critical component of the project. We realize that Monday mornings are not ideal for those of you who work, but if you are available, please consider helping on this long-awaited part of the project. Also, pass the word to neighbors and friends who may not have been involved before.

If you think you will be able to participate, please let me know (or just show up!). If you have available, bring a trowel, rake, shovel, and gloves. If you live close by or it is not too much trouble to transport, extra carts or wheelbarrows will also be useful.

And a third opportunity!  Young leaders of Beaufort will be planing at the City Tree Farm at Southside Park in Mossy Oaks during their March session.
