04 Apr Plastic and the Environment

While there is a petition circulating and discussion about the environmental “costs” of plastics, no one has yet come to council with a solution.  I know a lot of you are thinking about it and fortunately the state legislature decided this is a local issue.  Within the not too distant future, the Coastal Mayors will be meeting to discuss threatened changes in plans for oil and gas exploration off our coast and how we can collectively fight it.  Also on the agenda will be rising sea levels and I am sure plastic will come up.
