01 Aug “Silicon Harbor” May Become Front Door Mat for Beaufort

As millennials flock to Charleston, they are finding the cost of a cute downtown dream house too expensive and the traffic congestion to the only places they can afford to live outside of the core city both frustrating and time consuming. In time some may just be thinking about moving. We have a place for them.
I wish no hardship on our sister city of Charleston, but recognize — along with the Charleston Digital Corridor — that there is a potential for some spill over to Beaufort which, at this point, is more affordable, less congested and anxious to retain and recruit younger working people.
Silicon Harbor has become a tech landing spot for some weary city dwellers
