Is this all new to you? Here’s what’s going on: The City of Beaufort Planning Department has been working on an update to our Unified Development Ordinance which was adopted in 2003. During 2015 - 2017, the City hosted a number of public meetings to review drafts of the Beaufort Code. Comments heard during that time were incorporated into a draft, released January 26, 2017. The MPC reviewed that draft and outstanding public comments. They made a series of recommendations which have been incorporated into the April 24, 2022 Draft.

This most recent draft, along with other resources can be found on the Beaufort Code page of the city’s website.
