The Not So Pretty Side of State Government

06 Jun The Not So Pretty Side of State Government

I would normally stay out of this territory and comment only on substantive issues where what happens in Columbia can  directly affect our city and cities like ours.  (Orchestrating local taxes without local control, threatening to adjust business licenses potentially cutting our revenue by as much as 20% without a way to make up for the revenue loss, limiting our ability to regulate solid waste are recent issues)  What we ALL pay for insurance, our individual and institutional utility rates, big oil money organizing an oil drilling caucus and other large issues driven by high dollar lobbying are not to be ignored.

I have been watching the discussion about corruption and find his analysis and report from the State one of the best and more comprehensive for those who want to work they way through the web of potential  corruption in our state capitol.
