17 Jan View the President’s Proclamation establishing Reconstruction Era Monument

The day the President signed the Proclamation establishing the Reconstruction Era Monument in Beaufort, SC, The National Park Service immediately set up a “holding place” website.  The most important item on the site is the Proclamation.

With the understanding that his is a “holding place” website, you may want to take a look at some of the images but please realize this is not the final website which will of course be developed as the multi-site monument is established.
