23 Nov Young Leaders Explore the Maritime Center

This month Young Leaders of Beaufort, a leadership group consisting of 7th and 8th graders, ventured to the Port Royal Sound Foundation’s Maritime Center to explore our special waterways. The students learned from presenters Chris Marsh of Spring Island and Maritime Center naturalist Mr. Chris on our unique waters and sea life as well as Paul Spencer of the YMCA on boating safety. Students completed activities throughout the exhibits and even got hands-on with fish in the touch tank! Thank you Port Royal Sound Foundation for an enriching day!
