BEAUFORT, SC, – The Beaufort Arts Council (www.beaufortartscouncil.org), will be hosting an ArtPop Reception to introduce the winners of this year’s inaugural ArtPop Program. Come celebrate this great work by local artists. Beaufort Arts Council, Adams Outdoor Advertising and ArtPop founder Wendy Hickey partnered to launch the local program in our area. ArtPop is a public art program that allows for artists to submit their artwork for the opportunity to have it printed on vinyl’s and hung in open billboard space. Ten winners were chosen through a jury process and the billboards are currently up in Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton and Jasper Counties. In addition to the Artpop introduction, BAC and Mather Academy will be having a brief annual meeting and program. There will be many important and exciting announcements made!

This event is free and open to the public. The BAC and Mather Academy would like to extend an invitation to the public to join them on March 15^th from 5:30-7:30pm at The Beaufort Inn’s Tabby Place, located at 913 Port Republic Street, Beaufort, SC 29902. Guests will enjoy food, music and the opportunity to meet local artists.
