Help A Scout Help His Community

25 Apr Help A Scout Help His Community

Nicholas Beckert, a candidate for Eagle Scout, is launching a service project and could use a helping hand. In the early stages of his exploration he found a dangerous traffic situation of a blind curve adjacent to the Beaufort High School football field. He has set about to fix it. The project will consume considerable time and collaboration among Nicholas and his fellow scouts.  The current issue is raising just under $600 to pay for the materials to make the blind curve safe for students and those attending events on this side of the school.

I have chipped in a little and would encourage those who might be interested to contact Nicholas Beckert at 1703 Riverside Drive, 29902.

I think it is important to support our young leaders as they learn the lessons of citizenship, leadership and collaboration.
