Many Weigh in on Ladys Island’s Future - A good thing

28 Feb Many Weigh in on Ladys Island’s Future - A good thing

The auditorium/cafeteria at Ladys Island Middle School was packed, likely beyond what the fire marshal would have permitted, and the cars were lined up all the way back to highway 21 as Ladys Island residents and others met to talk about the future of the island, a far more complex conversation that can be absorbed in one night. But, a very positive beginning.  Thank you Sea Island Corridor Coalition, The  SC Coastal Conservation League and the many volunteers who helped generate the interest and the program.

There is no easy answer since you cannot go backwards in time to implement plans that were lost.  But you can move forward cautiously, first creating a plan and then the infrastructure to support the plan.

I am looking forward to learning how the small groups drew maps and ideas were generated throughout the evening.  And then the follow-up that transpires.
