15 Feb Mary Ann Thomas and Clare Taylor gave Beaufort a huge gift

Moved by a film they previewed at the Beaufort International Film Festival, Mary Ann Thomas and Clare Taylor started a movement that keeps on keeping on. The two were quickly joined by many more and Dragon Boat Beaufort was created. This is a gift to Beaufort as it provides an opportunity for people to help each other which is a model for how a hometown is supposed to work. Thank you Mary Ann, Clare and the hundreds of others who have become engaged in this very important event. Also, thank you to the Beaufort Water Festival which gave them the send off enabling Dragon Boat Beaufort to become an independent event.
