National Park Service Junior Ranger Visits Beaufort and gets NPS Passport Stamped

Tuesday March 28, 2022 a very special Junior Ranger visited the Reconstruction Era National Monument. Miss Aida Frey and her family visited the Penn Center and the Beaufort Visitors Center where she completed the Reconstruction Era’s first Junior Ranger program certificate.

She has visited 265 National Parks in 6 years and many other beautiful places in that time. Her goal is to reach 300 parks in 2017. Aida is an accomplished National Park Junior Ranger, and has been featured in many websites, park flyers, magazine articles and two YouTube videos: one at Thomas Edison National Historic Site and the other from Richmond National Battlefield. Aida is also been featured on the following numerous television and radio stations throughout the United States. Aida is featured in the Eastern National Bookstores Facebook and Twitter accounts and is a Guest Blogger with the National Park Foundation. Aida has also written her own book named “America, Can I Have Your Autograph, the Story of Junior Ranger Aida Frey”.

Aida is 15 years old, and is a Student Council member at school, an Alter Server at Church, a hockey player and is a reading club member at our library. Aida and her family strongly believe in preserving the past so that future generations can visit these wonderful places. She is inspiring the children and their families as she visits each National Park site.
