I am very proud to have been honored with the Harriet Keyserling Green Tie Award, created in honor of my mother who was the first recipient of this annual recognition given by the League of Conservation Voters. When one receives this kind of honor it is only appropriate to thank the many, and in this case I mean many across many states, who worked together in the fight against seismic testing and off shore oil and gas exploration off of our pristine coast.
Pictured below are Randy Sturgill, North Carolina Field Director and Samantha Siegel South Carolina Field Director for Oceana which was, among others, one of the leading organizations shepherding the cause with us.
