17 Apr Regulating Short Term Rentals
Regulations on Short Term rentals are likely to be tightened to ensure both public safety and the character of neighborhoods.
Following several presentations and discussions between the City Council and our Short Term Rental Task Force, the proposed changes will be crafted into the legalese required of a code modification and be sent to the Beaufort Port Royal Metropolitan Planning Commission, then to a public hearing and two readings in front of council.
If you have recommendations, other than to do away with STR’s - a proposal not put on the table by the Task Force - attend the MPC meeting or the public hearing before council which is not yet scheduled.
