Jeanne Aimar stood longer, stronger and more steadily than many in her generation. While she has passed on, the many causes she championed are still with us. It just may be our time to pick up and sustain them in her honor and for the good of our community.
Having known Jeanne for most of my life, and given the relationship between my family and hers, I could likely write volumes. But one’s farewell is best said in concise sentences with every work carrying a meaning as is exhibited by what Hamlin O’Kelley penned in his letter published in the Beaufort Gazette.
