While in Pittsburgh as a guest of Mayor Peduto last summer, I learned that millennials are flocking to his city.
As our hometown will inevitably grow, we should listen to what the wants of millennials. We have the historic setting, relatively affordable properties (though we need to work on that), unmatched great natural beauty and a very special quality of life. As we try to maintain a balance between working people, active retirees and visitors, we must work harder at attracting the kinds of jobs necessary to bring more talented young people to Beaufort.
