14 Mar Should Beaufort Ban Plastic Bags?

It was not until after the State Legislature considered a proposed law that would have prevented local governments from banning the sale of plastic bags by cities and towns, that I heard from anyone suggesting that the city consider banning the sale of such bags.

That said, with the state measure put to rest for at least a year, I am now hearing with some frequency from individuals suggesting the city consider such a ban.  Let me know your thoughts, please.
