The first annual Good Neighbor Tomato Supper
A celebration of Summer and The Tomato
To benefit the
Good Neighbor Free Medical Clinic of Beaufort
Join us for supper in beautiful homes in and around Beaufort. Many good neighbors will be offering hospitality, spirits and delicious food. We will be celebrating tomatoes at the peak of their perfection. Heirloom tomatoes are courtesy of Dempsey Farms. Tickets are $35.00 a person and can be purchased through the Parish Church of St. Helena’s website under Events identified as “Good Neighbor Tomato Supper”. The web address is www.sthelenas1712.org
The clinic provides primary medical services to those who have no affordable access to health care. It is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization run primarily by volunteers that was organized in 2007 by a group of local churches, medical practitioners and concerned citizens. The clinic is funded by Beaufort Memorial Hospital, Beaufort County Human Services Alliance, SC Department of Health and Human Services, The Beaufort Fund, regional community foundations, many of our local churches and over 100 families and individuals. The clinic offers compassionate care to all eligible adults in Beaufort County. Most of the clinic’s patients come from Northern Beaufort County where the clinic is the only source of free health care for patients who have very low household incomes and no insurance.
The clinic is located on Lady’s Island (behind Sonic) at 30 Professional Circle, Beaufort, SC 29907. Their website is www.gnfmcbeaufort.org.
We hope these Tomato Suppers will be the first of many to follow celebrating the spirit of hospitality and volunteerism that make Beaufort such a caring community.
