South Carolina has been very fortunate to recruit a significant number of industries that require skilled workers.  South Carolina is unfortunate in that we are finding it difficult to find workers that have the skills. New educational initiatives are proliferating throughout the state but that takes more time than some of the companies can wait.

While the new industries are, for a number of reasons, not knocking on our doors Beaufort has assets that must not be overlooked.  I am talking about the 1,000+ young men and women exiting the military each year.  They can be a great talent pool for the state.

So I suggest those looking for skilled workers knock on our door. We are ready willing and able to help.
