Saturday morning I had the honor of being the “official starter” for the YMCA’s annual River Swim. Participants swam from Port Royal Landing Marina to the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park.  The annual event in its tenth year raises dollars for scholarships for children who want to learn to swim and celebrates two of our greatest natural assets - our special Beaufort River and the many men and women who participated in the very successful event. Thank you YMCA and swimmers!
